Pros
Very hardworking, technically deep work. Pay is competitive (be careful) High growth company, one of few with job openings. A beautifully done demo of extremely frugal work environment
Cons
Glassdoor score of 3.8 is fake. Just read actual feedbacks chronologically, you'd find so much bad about company. And compare it to any other company. Pick any year, from 2016-20-25 and read. I wish I had seen it before i joined them. The work culture is toxic—cutthroat, overworked, and scary at times. Taiwan Headquarters maintains full control, with zero confidence in the US team. Decisions are erratic and unpredictable. HR is overly strict and skirts labor laws, creating a brutal environment. To survive, you have to conform to a Mandarin-centric culture, or it’s nearly impossible to last more than two years. They don’t fire employees outright but make your life so miserable that you’re forced to quit. Don’t be surprised if you end up paying them (a lot) on your way out. They won’t fire you, but they’ll make things so unbearable you’ll leave, sometimes even paying the company just to go. US employees earn brownie points for backstabbing colleagues, while others enjoy preferential treatment openly. Management: Every keystroke is monitored—when you logged in, left the building, or even left the parking lot. Admins track your snack and coffee usage, and all this data is used to push employees out and financially penalize them. It took me two years to believe what I had heard—“not possible in the USA.”
