Good experience - Sales Representative Medical Card Systems Employee Review

MCS provides a wide spectrum of career roles and pathways for professionals who are new to the industry as well as very experienced ones. There are many resources and platforms to develop new clinical programs that will impact the patient population and the communities served.

Similar to other health plans, there are many programs and projects but there is a need to expand teams to better balance the workload. The in-house training opportunities are in development and eventually should be a strong positive factor for careers at MCS.

The company has a wonderfully fulfilling culture and very personable environment, especially towards the Special Project Interns. Also, very balanced work-life and relaxed work environment (for Interns). Very different for other positions.

Much of the projects given to Special Projects Interns were of no real value to the company, but instead seemed more of a means to an end. So that the interns had something to talk about at the end of their tenure. Many times this was evident through management not being present or showing much interest for the intern's day-to-day work. Nevertheless, there were 1 or 2 projects which I would say otherwise.
