Pros

Great team members for location I worked. Get Black Friday off, which is a company paid holiday. Pay for my position was in line with others in this industry. No on call for my position. PTO and sick time was ok compared to other places I worked. Only reason I left is I took a job with a company closer to my house.

Cons

MSC acquired Carle Medical Supply in Illinois Dec 2024. Then in February 2025 there were layoffs to save money. There were several good employees let go in the Reduction In Force. I wish MSC would not have acquired Carle Medical and instead kept current employees. Sometimes "bigger is not always better." After the employees left then some current team members had to pick up the slack and more duties added to them. I know for a fact, there was one employee that got let go, who was willing to go to other locations but was still let go. Health insurance for a single was ok compared to other places I worked. We spoke to our manager about a few issues and it seemed like they were never communicated to higher management because those issues were never resolved. You couldn't carry any PTO over to next year but you could carry over sick days. PTO use it or lose it.

Pros

Been gone for a number of months, i can't think of a single thing

Cons

Lies to your face. Was told it was 100% work from home and it was for 2 months and then all of a sudden it's hybrid. And if you didn't like it, the door was right there. No exceptions to the rule. They just felt everyone needed to be in office. So that we could use the computer to speak to each other. Because we were all over the country in a building. When we could have done the same thing at home. When I was brought on, it was touted that the company has never not given bonuses or raise and guess what, all of a sudden, no bonuses, no raise, just work harder for the same amount of money, which was small by comparison to other companies in the area. Their adage was work harder instead of smarter, which goes against everything. I work for. Was more into numbers for productivity, instead of quality, And as an insurance biller, clean claims. Bring in money faster and easier. Then working on it after denied. In my twenty years as an insurance biller, i've never had productivity issues until I came to here.
