Mediumchat pays far lower than any other site of its kind, and the work environment is toxic. During the first 2-3 weeks after you are hired, they flood you with clients, many of whom you are expected to provide psychic readings to entirely without pay . During those first weeks I earned about $150-$200 per week and I was logged in approx 12 hours per day . Each week I was unpaid for at least 2-3 hours of work. When I complained about the fact that I was expected to work without pay, I was met with a nasty attitude from the management - basically I could either continue to work for free or leave the site. I have been with the company around 6 months and I am a 5 star reader . I am logged in about 10-12 hours a day, and despite my high reviews, and time spent online - last week I only made $40 , and was still expected to offer my services for free to multiple trial clients - one of which was for 20 minutes . This company is based in the UK - so perhaps they believe this is alright in the USA but I am sure there must be some sort of labor laws or employment protection so that employees like us dont have to work for free or below minimum wage unless we wish to forfeit employment. This is the choice I was given . If you work in a high minimum wage city ( I am in Los Angeles- similar may be Chicago, New York) your wages may drop below minimum wage as mine did inclusive of the hours of free readings you are required to offer. The site falsely advertises that top advisors make $4000 a month in their recruitment ads however after speaking with many other advisors on the site , it is clear none of the top advisors - long term or new, are making anywhere close to this. I simply don't know how they can continue to operate this way without being shut down. As someone else mentioned the staff is narcissistic / parasitic / MEAN and they do not care about their advisors whatsoever.
