Pros

I’ve been here less than a year. The company has had double digit growth year overnight year very consistently, which is impressive. Divisions are becoming more innovative. Medline used to be a “me too” company, but innovation will take this company a long way.

Cons

I started working as a product manager less than a year ago. Since joining, I have zero work- life balance and am constantly stressed. Each division is different I’m sure, so in your interview try to get a good feel for this. I didn’t do a good job of this in my interviews. Everybody is so busy they pass their stress along to you. There simply isn’t enough time in the day to get everything done. They expect you to work as late as you need to every single night. The amount of emails I receive after 11 pm is mind boggling. You’ll wear a million hats and have to hand hold the reps to get them to sell your products. It’s the most stressful job I’ve ever had. It’s not nearly as rewarding or enjoyable as I would have hoped. They don’t train you whatsoever and expect you to learn by throwing you projects you have no experience with and then getting upset when you don’t do it properly. These people simply don’t have enough time to train new employees because they’re so busy. Which is concerning. It’s not fun and my family has noticed my happiness and energy level significantly decrease since joining unfortunately. Again, each division is different so get a good feel from your managers.
