Pros

You'll meet some nice interns there & there's a starbucks nearby.

Cons

I don't even know where to start with this place. Let's first talk about the false advertisement. Whoever posts the position up on websites spends some serious time fluffing up the position. The owners Lauren and Megan are rude. My first day on the job and neither of them thought it would be a good idea to maybe look up from their computers and introduce themselves. They have little to no interest in the interns until its time to send you on a coffee or sample run. Speaking of sample running, the title of the position should just be "Glorified Messenger" b/c thats really what it is! Maybe its because I have previous internships under my belt, so I have a better understanding of what an intern should be treated like, but these people suck! I could not W A I T to leave this place. They talk down to you as if they pay your bills. Please, to all my fellow interns, learn from my experience-- avoid this place at all costs. They sit there over your shoulder and make people write nice reviews so they can continue to trap people. In my time there, I've seen employees leave because the people they worked with (including the God awful owners) made it hard to enjoy the work they did. If you're currently there, kudos to you. I'm just glad my 'sentence' there is over.

Pros

If you're looking for a digital marketing internship I recommend Mega Mega! It's 1 day in office, 1 day remote which is great- 11-5:30. I have 2 other jobs and they are super accommodating with schedule conflicts - just don't over do it obviously. 80% of it is creating/designing content for clients on Canva (promos and social), shooting the jewelry, and researching trends/client image. There are guidelines to fit each brands image which they have panned out for you. You have a ton of creative freedom in the creation process which is cool. Other 20% is inventory, influencer/social tracking, gifting-related tracking, that kind of thing--which is easy and expected. Maybe you'll be asked to take a package to UPS but it's around the corner from the office so not a big deal at all. They give you a list of weekly tasks that you can basically choose from and switch off and on from different things. Staff is super sweet, I felt welcomed right off the bat. They are very helpful and encourage questions. If you put the work into tailoring your ads to the brand, and show that you've done the research on the clients image, they really acknowledge your effort, and applaud your work. They actually use what you create, so it's cool to see your work published instead of put on the back burner.

Cons

Unpaid, but it be like that. They offer a stipend if you are commuting far I believe.

Pros

There are no 'pros' for interning with Mega Mega. Maybe by the end of your third week someone will remember your name or thank you, but probably not.

Cons

You learn absolutely nothing, deal with cockroaches and condescending fellow employees rudely "teaching" college graduates how to copy and paste. Really? Talk about zero management skills. You will see their postings all over Fashionista.com but no matter how badly you need an internship for college credit, do not intern here. You are given absolutely no direction and when you come up with a new idea you are immediately shut down. Clients come and go in the blink of an eye. Not a professional place of business. More often than not you will feel belittled and frustrated. Do not expect to make any type of connections while interning here. On Fashionista.com the opening sentence for the PR/Sales Internship states, "The day to day is very hands on and your enthusiasm will pay off with amazing experiences while working alongside the growing team." The only amazing experience to be had with Mega Mega is the water dispenser in the room. The posting also states that you will assist with meetings with buyers and help prepare for market week and trade shows. This is a huge stretch and nowhere close to the truth. You will literally assist by bringing the buyers a glass of water during the meeting and by making a PowerPoint presentation of available items for the market week and trade shows.
