- Highly stressful place to work. - Always understaffed without fail - Requirements of your role are always increasing, with pay never increasing. Over the course of working here the service charge we received is always decreasing. - in Oct 2024 uk service charge laws changed - in the month prior to this coming into effect, collectively across the company staff all received significantly less than we had been that year (300-400 less on avg) despite sales not dropping significantly that month - extremely suspicious behavior - You do not receive 100% of the service charge that you work for and earn. They pay higher executives and support office staff (who do not provide any of the service) with the service charged earned by the team. - They cut hours on the day of your shift and often whilst on your shift. - Management team that do not care about the health and well-being of their staff. - Have to complete tasks/jobs which you are not paid/qualified for. (E.g. junior sous chef's running the kitchen as head chefs. FOH floor staff completing manager duties) - Will often be put on closing shifts and then opening shifts, not receiving the LEGAL break between shifts - Management do not fulfil their promises - witnessed multiple employees at all levels be promised promotional positions that did not come to fruition. They tag you along until they no longer need you. - Operational management team are extremely entitled and nasty people.
