Pros

For working at this company the starting wages are higher than minimum. The fact as part time you still get medical, dental, vision & 401k packages. Depending on locations, the people that are at the same entry level as you are most likely gonna be someone you want to make your friend in case you need backup(look at cons)

Cons

The company doesn't understand what part time is. You might be hired part time, but you'll work 40 hours. You might have a certain availability you need for school or life outside the company, but to them you are the slave and you can easily be disposed. Most of the time, when you need to change your availability it's impossible to get a management approval. Same goes for any time off you need. It's a bit ridiculous. As for needing a friend to back you up; if your boss gets in trouble for something, they will put it on the entry-level positions, depending on who they dislike the most, because favoritism plays a big role in this company. Schedules are always wrong. No matter where you look. If you miss a shift because it's not on your schedule, but it's in your bosses, don't expect a call asking where you are, you'll just get a surprise the next day your in work when they slap you with 4 points for a no call no show. The point system is out of wack. Going through a hardship where your spouse needs you to take her to the ER because it's an emergency and it's an illness that last over a few months , don't expect anyone in the company to understand and take off the points you get for leaving early even with a doctors note. The point system itself is outdated. The cons outweigh the pros.

Pros

Direct coworkers were great to work with. I also enjoyed being left to do my work and not babysat by management.

Cons

Management doesn't know what they are doing. Resets and floor plans were regularly not done properly. The store I worked at has a skeleton crew so I never got help (but was expected to stop everything I'm going to go help other departments/areas). Also meaning good luck to any customers needing help, especially when I was the only person working my area of the store, so when I wasn't there, no one was. Management also regularly disappeared into the offices or were on vacation. Also was terminated for reasons outside my control even though I was told they look at the reasons for attendance incidents before termination. Never got to get the FMLA or accommodation to my doctors before being terminated two days after I requested them. Didn't bother asking for a raise either. I did multiple times and got nothing.
