Pros

It was nearby and steady employment. You were at least always sure that you were going to get to work at least 1 day a week.

Cons

The list is probably endless. Meijer primarily makes its business by not being Wal-mart. This however lets them get away with a lot that makes them worse than Wally-world in my opinion. Employee benefits are available but not pushed or made very aware to employees. It is made well known to you at any level that you are completely expendable, good work is very poorly rewarded yet they will come down on you with full fury if you do anything wrong. Every new rule that was passed while I worked there made life for the employees more and more difficult. If you absolutely and completely need a job, I would suggest Meijer, but otherwise, look elsewhere.

Pros

- Pickup is very chill and some days you can just hang out between orders (in the evenings mostly) - You can listen to music or podcasts while picking if you can still hear people / customers (Technically it's not allowed, but you can get away with it)

Cons

- Some days can be hell, and it's very variable - It's very physically draining - The schedule is never consistent
