Pros

High base (for fresh grads), with a bonus earning scheme for additional projects.

Cons

I worked for a year at Meltwater ES Apac. Basically there were more CONS than pros. Here's just a few: High turnover for analysts. Very political in the circle of people in authority. Huge divide between the boss/seniors, and the rest of the team. Little to no transparency in terms of bonus, clients and contracts between the boss and the analyst team. Long work hours such that sometimes you're in the office when the boss and seniors comes in, and when they clock out of office hours, you're still working on reports you're supposed to complete. On top of all these, the team has to do shift work and live with perpetual irregular work hours. It gets extremely brain-draining. Non-sustainable business model.

Pros

The product is cool and if properly onboarded customers will get value from it. Coworkers are fairly social If you are new to sales would be a good place to learn the basics

Cons

Probably the cheapest company I have ever worked for. Benefits are below standard, they changed the commission plan every year I was there so that you would make less money, and you are expected to share hotel rooms when you travel. Look up Meltwater on Reddit or LinkedIn. They are known for very aggressive sales tactics which you will be forced to implement on your customers. A culture of micromanagement that comes from the top down. Virtually no avenue for promotion unless you are willing to move or get lucky and someone leaves.
