Pros
The company does great work and has great intentions. They have made an effort to create career opportunities for those straight out of high school and for those in low income areas. They have also made Healthcare accessible for those with lack of access by expanding provider locations and create mobile healthcare options. I have respect for the CEO because he changed the name of the internal networking groups from DEI to Employee Resource Groups to allow them to still function.
Cons
In some departments they choose leaders with poor leadership skills. They would rather promote the nice people that do as they are told, rather than to promote and hire those that support and advocate for their teams. Some of the nice people never became experts in their roles, they were just pleasant to everyone around and faked their abilities to do their jobs. Most of the leaders shine because of the strong teams that function independently without the leaders guidance. Departments are also not consistent with promotions and upward mobility. A lot of very talented people have not been promoted and the only way to overcome the obstacle is to leave the organization and return with a different job title. Some previous employees would return within months to be hired for opportunities that they were not offered as internal employees. The executive leaders would rather blame "the great resignation" saying that all employees are moving rather than to address the issues internally. The leaders would often offer internal employees the minimum salary of the new role rather than to negotiate the salary as they would for an external employee again, leading to employees leaving and returning with the option to negotiate. Central Staffing is a department that focuses on numbers rather than quality. They would rather have a warm body rather than qualified staff. I wouldn't recommend that anyone take a role with that department. The Central Staffing leaders are also very unorganized and they fail to plan for staffing needs rather than to plan ahead which causes chaos for everyone involved. The benefits relatively speaking, are very expensive bi-weekly though they do have six free therapy visits annually and affordable childcare options.
