Pros

Everyone cares about the mission of cancer research and treatment.

Cons

Management is not transparent at all. They say one thing and do another and seem to be winging it. Rolling RIFs for years now feels like psychological warfare. The c-suite prefers to decimate DigITs' individual contributors than hold middle managers accountable for overspending. A lot of painful heavy lifting is invisible to higher management. Unclear promotion paths and career development opportunities except for a minority of highly vocal super heroes. MSK's mission and values are frequently undermined by middle management.

Pros

A lot of people to work with and a great amount of exposure to different in-house counsel areas. If you are proactive, there are plenty of people willing to try and meet with you and explain things, though their time is limited. If you can pick at their brains, the Attorneys of the smartest and most hard-working individuals you'll meet. They have some fun events and team-bonding,

Cons

Lack of diversity in interns, which make fit and experience difficult. Even upon meeting diverse staff and people, there always seems to be a barrier and front. Attorneys generally have little time to teach you, but they do their best. Compensation is lackluster, but benefits and events are fun. Sometimes work can lag, and you must be proactive in seeking it out for yourself.
