Pros

- Low-stress store, not busy, lots of downtime - Some nice people to work with - Straightforward Job - Suit Stores have a more mature clientele, so better customer interactions. - Some managers are nice and really help you learn the job.

Cons

- The store's management was horrible. They were incapable of letting you know when you were scheduled. I only really worked on weekends, and the schedule was put out on Mondays. The schedule was never put online, in an email, or sent to any employee. The schedule was only put in a binder that sat in the back of a cabinet. I never really knew when I was supposed to work, as whenever I checked the book, it was never updated for the following week. I asked my manager how I am supposed to know when I am scheduled; their answer was to come in on Mondays, when I didn't work and had school, and look at the physical binder to know. If I tried to ask my manager over text or a phone call, they would not tell me when I worked. The managers were almost impossible to work with. - VERY strict Dress code. I understand it is a suit store, so wearing a suit and tie makes sense if you're actually a sales associate. But when your job is the cleaning and organizing the back of the store, a suit is a bit overkill. Do I really need to be wearing a suit when you have me cleaning the floor? Also, most employees are very judgmental about what you wear. They judge everything. If they don't like your tie, they'll tell you; if they don't think your colors match, they'll tell you. I mean, I am all for constructive criticism, but gesh, they are rude, like I am so sorry that my tie dimple isn't perfect enough for you. - The training never ends. 4 months in, I apparently still wasn't done training. I have no clue how, because there were hardly any customers in this store, so I don't know how they couldn't train me. I never even understood the training as it seemed like they were just very bored, and their idea of fun was messing around with me as a new person. They would quiz me on every style of suit we had in store, the make/model/brand/color, and they always made it impossible to get it right. This training made no sense, as I never really dealt with any customers. - Really Low Pay. The pay was horrible, you're expected to be in a suit every day, and a different one at that, and they pay less than McDonald's. How I am able to afford a suit if I being paid so little. The managers would also pressure me into buying new stuff constantly, and if I didn't buy from them they would be upset. - Horrible Employee Discount. You think with all the sales this store offers, the employee discount would be great. WRONG. The employee discount only applied to the regular price. The regular price. This store's whole business model is to overprice stuff, put it on sale, so the customer thinks they're getting a good deal.

Pros

Above average pay and flexible schedules.

Cons

Corporate is generally oppressive and would rather add middle management jobs rather than fix issues.
