Pros

I thought the pay was good (around $9 on week days, after you got your high school diploma, and then an extra $2.50 per hour on weekends!), at least from the perspective of a teenager. I usually found management to be nice! Menard's sends out little gifts on all the holidays, which is just a really fun gesture.

Cons

I usually had trouble leaving my shift on time. Often had to ask repeatedly if I could go clock out now that my scheduled shift was over. In the winter, it gets SUPER cold by the checkout lines. Double doors into the store would have helped. My hands often went numb.

Pros

A few of the people are nice to work with.

Cons

A store manager who talks down to employees like they're children (and apparently gets promoted for it). A store manager who acts like employees are idiots for calling him to ask questions. Raises are pathetic. Understaffed because the store manager won't allow enough labor hours to do the job, particularly on Sundays when there's a lot of freight.
