Pros

Everyone is earnest and genuine. Staff really wants to help animals. They're organized and good about communicating work. Gave decent raises and had good opportunities to travel.

Cons

Advocacy is their primary function, so not a ton of programmatic work aside from the investigations and farm transitions. Made it difficult to keep donors who were frustrated with lack of tangible results. Campaigns fell flat from lack of innovation and money. Leadership had unrealistic expectations and didn't give enough support. Also had 2 different micromanagers. Positions were made as people needed promotions rather than a set structure and people were unhappy with that.

Pros

Working for a great mission. Feeling like I'm making a difference.

Cons

RIFs have changed the organization for the worse. Morale is at an all time low. Leadership stay in their bubbles and make decisions without transparency. No communication. Sad that a once mighty organization has begun to fall, even under a new CEO.
