Pros

I've been with Meridian Bird Removal as a recruiter for two years, and it’s been a truly rewarding experience. One of the highlights of working here is the team culture, which is collaborative and supportive. Everyone genuinely cares about our mission, and it’s inspiring to see how committed the team is to delivering high-quality service. In my role, I have the flexibility to work remotely, which has been great for work-life balance. The leadership team trusts us to manage our responsibilities effectively, which creates a productive and positive environment. Meridian invests in its employees, offering continuous learning and professional development opportunities. I’ve been able to attend recruiting workshops and gain certifications, which has helped me grow my skills and stay up-to-date in the industry. The culture here is grounded in respect, safety, and customer focus. It’s clear that Meridian values people, both customers and within the company. I’m proud to work for an organization that genuinely values its employees and customers.

Cons

I highly recommend Meridian Bird Removal to anyone looking for a supportive workplace with a strong sense of purpose. The work can be challenging, but the team makes it worthwhile, and there’s a sense of pride in what we accomplish together.

Pros

You may enjoy bird catching for about 1 year. It's a conversation piece with friends.

Cons

My time as a Field Technician at this company presented significant challenges regarding compensation, work-life balance, and company culture. Despite rising costs, there were no cost-of-living increases during my employment. Mileage reimbursement was $0.35 per mile, which I found inadequate given the extensive travel required. This placed a burden on my vehicle, with no assistance for maintenance. Routes often exceeded the initially stated driving range. Employee commitment felt one-sided, with frequent unreciprocated requests. Communication was limited to monitored apps, hindering open dialogue. Monthly calls seemed more like propaganda than collaboration. Leadership often lacked field experience, leading to impractical policies. HR operated with a very firm approach. The company's focus seemed heavily on profit margins over employee well-being, customer satisfaction, or the animals. Personally, I believe the company’s model faces long-term challenges. The focus appeared to be on maximizing profits at the top, shifting burdens onto technicians. One core value is “Above the Bar,” but practices often felt below this standard, lacking fairness and ethical consideration. If considering a role here, research competitors and weigh all options.
