Pros
chance to learn a lot, not very many other benefits.
Cons
Pay is terrible, hardly get raises especially for staff that aren’t nurses, they hardly get them either. Equipment is lacking with current healthcare standards. Incompetent staff being hired somehow still short staffed, hours cut somehow still short staffed. Turnover is extremely high for all positions including higher up like CEO, CNO, and Doctors as well as Nurses, PCTs, Managers, Unit directors, every single position has high turnover! Several units will be shut down for weeks or months due to either short staffing or low census, minimal effort to try and get those people who’s unit got shut down the hours they need, if any! Patient care is also lacking in huge part due to outdated and nonexistent equipment needed for certain emergencies, and staff incompetence. Whole place is a mess and anyone who values their license should NOT work there.
