Pros
-Innovative, exciting, and impactful technology -Interesting and diverse customer base -Smart and dedicated co-workers (well, some of them) -Great benefits -Attempts by HR to promote more inclusive and engaging company culture
Cons
-Leadership team is blinded by arrogance, greed, and cluelessness. They refuse to understand the technology's utility, shortcomings, and especially customer base. Most that did understand have left the company. -Company business strategy seems to be incrementally making it more difficult for customers to purchase and effectively use the data that otherwise is in high demand -Lack of company vision and business strategy. Often felt like "our customers are benefiting too much from our data, that's not fair, how do we stop that?" -Incredible inertia against needed changes to be implemented. For a company of only ~200 people, feels more like government bureaucracy (or worse). When decisions were actually made, communication was poor or nonexistent. -Marketing team refuses to understand customer persona, needs, and competition, nor do they have any sense of urgency. Competition is catching up quickly, yet decisions are made slowly and seemingly in a vacuum. Recent re-branding is lipstick on a pig and still doesn't address what customers are asking. -Reaction to COVID was to lay off many scientists at a supposedly science-based company
