Pros
Employee Discounts on truck rentals. Fancy Christmas Party every year where bonuses are handed out. Some paid holidays. Owner pays for your lunch everyday because you can't take a lunch break. You will work over 50 hours per week and they do pay overtime.
Cons
You will be hired as a floating manager to drive to all of their locations and fill in for the managers out on vacation. They tell you that you will manage your own facility, but it NEVER happens. You work your butt off to become manager of your own facility but you end up floating around to their different locations for years. Pay is only $10 an hour. Insurance is very high and offers low coverage. Driving around to all locations really makes an impact on your gas tank so after all is said and done you will bring home minimum wage pay. Metro Mini Storage has had numerous break ins because they lie and say their gates and cameras work when they do not. Some of their buildings leak water. A lot of the managers do not pick up the garbage around their facility and their storage units are filthy. Metro Mini Storage properties are in dire need of many repairs and the owner doesn't want to fix anything. On site managers are lazy and use the floater to clean units, do grounds keeping and all of the grunt work that they don't want to do themselves. Most managers you work under stay inside their offices and surf the internet while you are outside all day maintaining the grounds and units for them. They are not open to promoting female employees to manage properties or do their truck rentals.
