Pros

You might get a free apartment, depending on who you are and whose butt you kiss, or you might get just a small discount but that depends on who you are too.

Cons

Everything that can suck about a company, all of it applies here.

Pros

Most of my colleagues in the office I worked were fantastic. Camaraderie was great amongst them, especially maintenance team members, Accounting team, CFO, and Controller are some of the most wonderful, competent people I've ever worked with. Free apartment at community you work at (at least that was the case when I worked for the company, this may have changed). My residents were some of the best people I've ever met, and I genuinely miss them.

Cons

Multiple conflicting directives from senior leadership, independent of one another, with no clear indication of who's actually in charge. Less than zero accountability for senior leadership and their inability to perform at a basic level. No real opportunities in any way to elevate in your career, and any promised to you will be denied when called out. I cannot stress this enough: ***Get everything in writing***. Demand a clear, concise, and streamlined job description before signing any offer letter from them, especially for "new" positions. Senior leadership ignores major issues in buildings in order to save on their bottom lines while making the residents absorb the impact. Outdated thinking on markets, comps, pricing, and appeal in building that hinders leasing velocity. No training whatsoever. Senior leadership style akin to abusive spouse - ignore, gaslight, deflect, followed by incredibly evident hollow and meaningless praise, followed by a full about face blaming you for the entirety of failures at your property since the first brick was laid, Rinse and repeat. Leasing team is strictly hourly with no bonuses for leases captured (at least that was the case when I worked for the company, this may have changed).
