Pros

Fun company with about 100 flight attendants, international destinations and layovers from the first day, only Boeing 737-800 aircraft now, everyone is based in Miami, easy to get along with other colleagues, lots of empty ferry flights and commericaling to meet the aircraft which brings in ton of airline points and hotel points! Miami Air is a member of the AFA Union which is working on better pay and a better contract for Flight Attendants.

Cons

First off is pay, it is under $20 the first year which is a hard starting pay in Miami, a few aircraft in the fleet are old, they need to work on modernizing the fleet faster than what they are. Need new inflight supervisors, they are stuck in the old Pan Am/Eastern days, we need new unique uniforms that other charter airlines don't use, summer season is somewhat slow which brings in minimum pay, BUT this is a great airline to start out in, you'll see and experience places that a commercial airline will never bring you, if you come here only stay for a couple years, it is not a long term career company if you're looking to make lots of money like at a commercial airline. Gossiping is a issue, but it is a small company so just watch what you say to other colleagues, be smart about what you do during layovers and off time, the aviation industry is very small. Minimum flight benefits, only good one is JetBlue or maybe Spirit/Frontier.
