Pros
This laboratory has a great reputation in the food science and dietary supplement community in Southern California. Therefore, the lab is always busy with hundreds of samples to prep and test in the microbiology lab every day. This is strictly a routine microbiology testing lab so there is no research experience to gain. It is a fast paced environment for young graduates and undergrads to gain their initial lab skills in a real world environment. This is not a long term work place, however, there is a lot to learn here...

OT about twice a week. Low wages (close to minimum wage, remember this laboratory is also willing to place you in a position to learn tests and practice skills you will need down the road. The tests performed are not too complex so wages match the skills/knowledge needed accordingly) High turnover rate
