Pros
Micralyne feels like a small family, and they were very quick to accept me as one of them. I was able to attend all the important engineering meetings, have a conversation with almost anyone at the company, and have lunch with long-time company veterans on my first day. Everyone, from the CEO to the equipment operators, was friendly and personal with me, and I was able to get along with my immediate supervisor very well. My opinions were always treated with respect, and I was able to make a real contribution on a critical project.
Cons
At the time I was there, the company was going through a lot of financial hardship, which meant they were forced to lay off some people. There were also several others who were moving on at the time, which meant that people were under a fair amount of stress.
