Pros
Pros- I survived the recent layoff…. I’ve worked for this company for a long time and realize that anything posted here will be brushed off by upper management as an unhappy employee and not something to consider a real problem. I hope this is beneficial for anyone considering working for this company.
There are good people working at this company but there is a lack of leadership, training and accountability
There’s steady work and opportunities to learn so it’s a good career stop for some. Pay & benefits are mid-scale, with the exception of health insurance, which are poor, and getting worse and no merit increases based on performance. The HR department does a lot to have company functions, luncheons, picnics etc, for moral.
Cons
Cons - The company/management values “work instructions” for ISO requirements over actual training. FYI Management - having employees sign a piece of paper as “training” on a new policy or procedure is meaningless and not effective. This doesn’t help the company/employees grow but serves as a “check box” for management to say they have done their job.
The manufacturing management at this company is professional at passing the buck & deflection. Very unsupportive of anyone beneath him (ie the EMPLOYEES) from providing tools and resources to creativity & new ideas. Also is dismissive and condescending unless you agree on everything. Information & situations are manipulated to make manufacturing management look good to the owners. Don’t expect much in the way of trust, support, collaboration or team building with this management. The term in over their head comes to mind.
