With increased focused being placed on managed care for public sector beneficiaries Midwest Health Plan is well positioned to grow market share.As a member of the the Henry Ford Health System's (HFHS) owned companies operating in the reforming health care market, Midwest Health Plan should benefit from opportunities derived from the synergy resulting from various HFHS business initiatives.

Cons

Changes in its contract with the state of Michigan 2016 significantly impacted its book of business and market share. This requires major adjustment in its business strategy related to market share growth going foward.

Great management, relaxed but yet professional atmopshere to work in. Everyone worked together and also got along together personality wise. Everyday a great learning experience.

Pros

The department staff was great and the Sr. Director of Operations was awesome. Laid back and as long as you did your job it there were no issues. Great company benefits.

Cons

Evaluation process was not fair and the HR director controlled just about everything that happened around the company. If she was not a fan of your immediate boss than there were absolutely no favors on your behalf. No advancement, no growth within the company.
