Intern - Anonymous employee Mighty Leaf Tea Employee Review

I have been working at Mighty Leaf Tea for a few months now and have had a great experience thus far. The employees care about the company and each other. The new CEO is breathing new life into this (almost) 20 year old company, introducing Core Priorities and making a lot of the business transparent to the employee base, as well as simply making everyone accountable for helping build the company and taking it to the next level.

Needs to update some of the technology, but I know this is in the process of being done.

The business is now owned by Peet's Coffee which is a great company with an excellent working environment. Company has good products and the potential to be a compelling brand.

Little has been done by the current/former CEO to build the brand as opposed to just building products. Of the new products built, none are very compelling and all lack innovation. The working environment is somewhat hostile and erratic. Poor leadership on the part of the CEO and little to no fostering of creativity and collaboration among the team. The high level of turnover in the past year speaks volumes to the state of the working environment.
