Pros

Great perks, you will meet forever friends, you can work from anywhere!

Cons

They will sell you a dream during the interview process and then when you come to learn what is going on you will be in complete hell. You will be worked to the ground and NO COMPENSATION for it. It’s so many holes in this company that it’s a sinking ship. The CEO lacks social intelligence, does not respect her leadership team, verbally abusive and doesn’t take accountability for anything. It’s her way or the highway. If it is not going her way, bye bye you go. She can scream to the top of her lungs about the companies values but lacks ALL OF THEM HERSELF. I truly do not understand how her employees put up with this type of behavior. How does her board and investors support her? It’s quite baffling. She is very toxic and condescending. I advise her to look in the mirror and see that SHE herself is the problem. No one can truly do their job, I never seen a CEO so involved. She goes around her leadership team asking their team about them and their leadership style, but yet see that this is not how you crate trust. This is not the last Glassdoor review you will see. As you will see from other Glassdoor reviews MikMak is not the problem, the CEO is. She needs to leave or she will be the only one left. Whoever is there protect yourself and your self esteem! If you are reading this and thinking about coming to MikMak…DONT. Please take the Glassdoor reviews seriously, do not think that people are just ranting. This is the truth, we want her out.

Pros

I’ll start by saying this: this company isn’t for everyone. If you’re looking for a place to coast, collect a paycheck, and do the bare minimum, this isn’t the right fit. But if you’re ambitious, accountable, and motivated to do great work alongside incredibly smart, collaborative teammates and customers — you’ll thrive here. You’re held accountable for your results and expected to deliver on what you promise. Our customers expect and receive a true white-glove level of service, and that standard drives excellence across the team. The leadership — including our CEO Micah and owner, Rachel — is inspiring. They both are incredibly smart, deeply passionate about the company, and committed to delivering the best experience for customers. The CEO leads with kindness, understanding, and support. Don't take advantage of that - it's rare to work with a CEO who will lock arms with you and help you win. Their energy pushes the entire team forward. Some of the older reviews here don’t reflect the company I know today - AT ALL; many of them I believe stem from past acquisitions and transition periods. All a natural part of growth and evolution. The current team is strong, supportive, and collaborative. The drive to win is real — and as a competitive salesperson, I absolutely love that. The company is heading in an exciting direction, and I feel genuinely invested in, both personally and professionally (and yes, financially). I’ll admit, I was nervous to join after reading the reviews (like REALLY NERVOUS), but I’m so glad I did. This place DOES have redeeming qualities — many of them. It’s a great company for people who want to grow, be challenged, and work alongside some of the best in the industry. If you’re looking for growth, accountability, and a high-performing culture, this is the place for you. If you’re looking to skate by — don't work here.

Cons

Lots of change and the team moves quickly, which can be challenging for some. I wouldn't necessarily say it's a con - but might not be for everyone. We are a lean team, and as a result - some days are long. I've had many 9-10 hour days, but it was by choice and passion, not because my boss was dictating my work hours. The choice is yours!

Pros

- "Remote" work is nice although don't expect to be accepted or treated the same as on site employees - Work life balance may be great if you get lucky to be on a team who functionally serve no purpose. If you are lazy, this may be the company for you.

Cons

- A "remote first" workplace with ZERO attempts at events, workshops or anything of the like to bring remote employees into the fold - ZERO career progression roadmap. They proudly admit this. - Prioritizes entirely unrelated non performance related attributes of employees when promoting/hiring - The company runs on a handful of underpaid people/teams while the rest play "marketing house". - A CEO who is more concerned with being a visible icon, than building great companies. Shows extreme favoritism and is emotionally tone deaf.
