Pros

Mile6 is a great company to work for. I've had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of interesting and challenging projects, learning new things each time. There is a lot of opportunity for growth here. The team here is outstanding. They are truly a great group of people to work with, and have a diverse set of backgrounds and expertise. Everyone here cares about what they do. They care about our clients and the solutions we're providing, and are always striving to produce great work. I also appreciate that the leadership at Mile6 is always considering ways to improve our processes and looking at how we can innovate. They actively seek out feedback from the entire team and actually listen. The company has hit a couple of road bumps along the way, but the genuine effort to improve is appreciated. With the talented group of people here, it feels like we're on a path toward bigger and better things, and I'm really looking forward to being a part of that journey.

Cons

Due to the nature of being an agency, there are times when it can feel like you're jumping between projects too much and losing focus. Time and budget limitations on projects can also be a frustration, when you know something could be improved but simply can't because of those limitations.

Pros

Probably the best thing about Mile6, LLC, and why is it a solid choice for career-minded individuals is the ongoing commitment to the employee's work-life-recreation balance. Vacation accrual is generous. The company sponsors lunches as well as the occasional field trip; they were on-the-clock paid as I remember. There are no giant corporate bureaucracies to deal with. The work atmosphere is fun, energetic, casual, and full of neutral humor. All of us are treated fairly and with dignity and respect. We do damn good work. No outsourcing. What our clients receive is the best, original web presence we can give for what they had in budget. We have great relationships with our clients which pays rewarding dividends in the long run when it comes to the "day-to-day". I've seen both... passed up an extra $15K/yr with a University because the people I know that worked there couldn't stand management and HR. We have a really diverse workforce of interesting personalities and out 401(k) get a corporate match. Finally, we are both socially conscious and generous. We have conceptualized, built, hosted, and maintained (and any/or of them) for everything from health providers, to LGBTQ activists portals, to mom and pop shops, and outside websites, to volunteering at Christmas tree drives... we invest in our community. It's a good place to build a career and still enjoy life. That makes it a good job.

Cons

The "cons" are limited to typical small-business issues. Every two or three years a slight delay in pay (day or two) due to payroll issue. If there is a personality issue, you'll either work it out or talk to the President. This, conceptually, is a "pro" for me; most disagree. The range in the employee kitchen electric, not gas.

Pros

Great remote atmosphere among employees.

Cons

Fires employees frequently claiming lack of performance. Require too much work. No respect to life outside of work. Pay too little for the amount of work requested.
