Scheduling, cost control, change order management, invoicing, financial tracking, quality control in the field, client management are all responsibilities for the role so you’ll be put into position to learn a lot/do a lot quickly.

When I worked for the company there was a clear need for more robust Human Resources. Trying to get company policies in writing and advocate for industry standards when it comes to employee support (per diems for faraway jobs, company vehicle for job travel, bonus structure for completed jobs) felt like I was being given the run around and not valued as an employee.
