Pros

LRT station and working colleagues

Cons

I have worked in various companies and this is the only company where no employee respects the HR department and the HOD and the engineers often bullying HR. The top management also stepped on the HR people and let the HR people be stomped by everyone in this company. Working at here will make you go backwards and HR is a puppet in this company where all the strings are pulled and controlled by the CEO, The Acting CEO @ Finance Bos. We know respect should be earned but there's no one is allowed to earn it. All the non-HR staff disrespects HR. This is the only company, which allows it. CEO screaming, shouting, and humiliating the HR employees in front others is not new. The HR employees here are not allowed to make any decisions. Many think HR here are not any good, but it is because they cannot do the job properly due to the interference from the CEO D.G, the Acting CEO@Finance S.Y.S. This is the only company where the Payroll is being separated from HR and placed under the Finance department, which causes many disputes and discrepancies. This is the only company which fails to pay contract workers after their contract ends. Because of these workers cursing and harassing HR. This is the only company where the budget or the salary range for each position was not given to the recruitment team but they want the recruitment team to quickly hire a suitable candidate. This is the only company where Engineers and Facility Management bosses are approving the salaries for new hiring. The salary which were given to HR employees are toooooo low. Can't believe it. Can't differentiate the salary between Fresh Graduates and those with many years of experience since it's almost the same. Salary were given below market rate for all non-engineers and seriously it doesn't make sense. Does the CEO understand how HR works at other company? Does the CEO aware how much respect is being given to HR at other place? The current CEO always allow the future Ceo Finance bos to make major HR-related decisions and this Finance bos only job is to find faults in HR for every event. If the CEO is allowing the decision-maker to be a Finance person and an Engineering person on HR Matters, I suggest the CEO completely eradicate the HR Department and let the Acting CEO Finance person to take over HR portfolios. Why need to waste money by hiring HR in this company when making HR non-functional? The Acting CEO aka Finance bos is the most conceited, arrogant meddler whom I have ever seen in a corporate workplace in my entire journey, even the person’s own department staff does not like their boss but they cannot do anything about it but tolerate it. This person often interferes in all HR Matters and attacks HR as if HR is the lifelong enemy. This person is so obsessed with HR and wants to take over HR. This person has zero knowledge about HR but yet taking controls of it. Many HR staff and other employees left this company due to the CEO and the Acting CEO S. I am not sure about the roles of the BOD and the Chairman in this company. Are they puppets like HR? I have not seen any action from them to date. The Chairman/BODs should do something to save this company and the staff retention as it was getting worse by the time I left. Is the BOD/Chairman even functional in this company? The HODs, their engineers, their other staffs bullying HR employees in usual basis and then play victim as if HR is the problem when the real fault it's actually from them. Zero respect is being given to HR. When there's something given to them, they will come back to us after 2-3 weeks and then says HR is the cause for delay. Not to forget the HR DGM A. This person does not defend or stand for their department staffs. Unfit to take the lead as an HR Boss. The boss does not defend themselves or defend their own department’s staff when there is no fault and let’s people take advantage of HR. Can’t be working under such leadership. To all the HR job seekers, do not come to this company if you want to be an HR because you will not be an HR in this company but you will be doing something else. No one will respect you. Your mental health will be at its worst.

Pros

exposure to various construction projects and in-house engineering services. can learn a lot here. its nice to mingle with friends from different departments. salary considered OK for fresh grads but not that high. easy to get food around and very near to LRT.

Cons

expect OT till the point of sleeping at the office. OT is paid but at the cost of your sanity. office needs serious renovation; the toilets and surau are especially terrible. if you dream of comfy and cosy, decent-looking office please never apply here. if you complain something, the higher ups will keep a close eye on you to detect any misconduct you made so they can use it against your complaint. the hr and payroll (and other finance departments) are not of the same entity so sometimes you might confuse yourself to whom you should refer if you have any issue. also, the company promised you will get a handsome amount of money if you refer a friend to join the company. i referred one, and we stayed there for >1 year but never got the money until now.

Pros

The company has many divisions, so there’s a lot of exposure to different areas. You can learn a lot over time with guidance from senior engineers, which really helps in growing and maturing as an engineer

Cons

Currently earning at the minimum level based on 'market'?, with no clear bonus structure, just occasional incentives that aren’t very consistent. The management style in my department is quite hands-on, sometimes to the point of micromanaging, which can make it harder to work independently and efficiently. On top of that, the office facilities especially the restrooms could really use some improvement to make the workplace more comfortable overall.
