Pros
- The company hires talented individuals across various departments, making it a great place to collaborate with some truly skilled professionals. - If you're passionate about personal growth and the products Mindvalley offers, you’ll have access to them - though, in my opinion, they lack depth and substance.
Cons
While the company prides itself on bringing in high-level professionals, there’s a noticeable disconnect between the leadership and those hired for their expertise. Instead of listening to the advice of seasoned experts, leadership often disregards their input, which is frustrating and undermines the value they bring to the table. The CEO, while undeniably passionate about the company and its mission, tends to micromanage and often oversteps his bounds. His strong belief in AI is evident, but it feels like a blanket solution for every problem, with the company positioning AI as a way to "replace" entire roles. Unfortunately, this has led to rounds of layoffs, with little transparency or clear strategy, leaving employees wondering about the future of their positions. Workload distribution is also a significant concern. As departments are trimmed, remaining employees are forced to pick up additional responsibilities, creating an unsustainable work environment. AI is useful, but it cannot replace the human touch, especially in roles that require critical thinking, creativity, etc. On top of all this, company culture can be toxic, particularly in certain departments where the lack of strong leadership and people skills from top executives leads to poor management. HR seems underpowered and often ineffective in addressing these issues. There's a noticeable lack of empathy and support at the senior level, which can make working at Mindvalley an exhausting experience, especially when the company isn't performing well.
