- Phenomenal students and colleagues who are all invested in rethinking higher ed - Low-ego, supportive deans - Collaborative teaching and curriculum development process means professors are constantly learning from each other - Encouragement to publish/share knowledge in high-impact forums, including non-scholarly publications but no pressure
Cons
- Giving great formative feedback to foster deeper learning takes a lot of time! This can be a challenge for new professors. - Professional growth in an absolute sense is relatively limited since there is no concept of tenure (also a pro!)
