Good people on the ground (faculty and staff) wanting to support students

Pay is below higher education standard No retirement (most other schools have CalPERS or CalSTERS) No Matching 401k (they offer a plan, but match 0%) No holidays off- you have to ask for approval to take any days off. You also do not accrue vacation days so nothing is ever 'owed' to you, and if you quit or are fired, there is no cushion No severance A really depressing and overworked culture at the institution A vacuum of leadership has led to a lot of issues, including a no-confidence vote of the president Currently NO budget for professional development, travel, or discretionary spending No work-life balance Financial situation is precarious
