The benefits used to be great (before HR cut them.) The people were talented, loyal and motivated (but these have since left.)
Cons
Where to begin...? When I joined Minitab, it was a fantastic company. People were happy, motivated and friendly. Around late 2015 this all changed. A new president was promoted from within the company with no experience at this level. About 30% of the workforce were laid off. The HR team managed this process in the worst possible way and gloated about it to those of us remaining afterwards. Those that were not part of the RIF were restructured, additional work dumped on them. People were lied to and told that the RIF was over. It wasn’t. There was no strategy and limited communication. Underqualified people were promoted from within instead of hiring experienced people from outside. What is left is a workforce full of demotivated people who are too scared to leave or who haven’t been able to find another job. I used to be proud to have minitab on my CV but not anymore.
