If you are willing to stomp on people and lie about your fellow employees in order to climb the corporate ladder you will be rewarded because it seems like those are the type of people they hire and protect in middle and lower management.
Cons
Do you ever notice in life that corrupt individuals are consistently looking over their shoulder and assuming that everyone around them is just like they are. That is the resounding theme everywhere you look in middle and lower management - everyone that works under them is obviously a crook and willing to screw anyone over to get ahead. Lower management runs the company like they are the watchdogs waiting for someone to misstep especially those individuals they perceive as a threat to their supreme rule and feeling of self importance. Do not dare offer ideas or question their motive on any matter including safety or you can expect retaliation. How do they get away with this you ask? Simple, they run a continuous propaganda campaign to their bosses and upper management that the problem lies with the blue collar employees and has nothing to do with terrible management style. If I did not want to uproot my kids to a different location and completely change my career I would be looking for something else.
