Pros

Great team you can trauma bond with.

Cons

- There is micro-management to the minute at the company and you are questioned after words about your work. - Apparently they show an open culture but if you do raise a valid point or anything that makes sense, you will be disrespectfully shut down. - You can only stay happy there if you numb yourself and just tone out when something is being discussed because even if you say something nobody gives a crap. - The senior leadership has 0 knowledge about tech and software, but want complete control over any technical decisions and will make everyone write a million documents and not read 90% of them and tell you you're crap(literally) at your role on your face. There is 0 respect for you and your work. - There is no concept of planning a project or something, the only thing that matters is how they can milk the client. - They have some really shady terms in the working terms, like for the first 4 weeks you need to be in the office 5 days a week for "collaboration" even though your entire team is either at home or offshore. - They will never be any clarity over your role, as a project manager you could be doing the role of a BA, and even as a software engineer you will end up doing market research and competitor analysis, and a lot of times you will probably be doing something that doesn't align to your actual role but you will be "expected" to take additional duties. - Micro-management is to such a bad extent that they(sometimes even the CEO) will monitor a lot of times what time you entered the office or leave it, apparently getting to the office 9:06 means you're late, and you are expected to sit there till 5:30-6 as a minimum even if you complete all your work before time. - Contract negotiations are soo bad and unethical that by the time you do your first interview and when they give you the offer the budget of the role decreases by as much as 20%, - A lot of positive reviews on glassdoor at this point are just some employees giving good reviews to keep the rating high (Check the upvotes on positives vs negative reviews) - OVERALL A MASIVE RED FLAG.

Miroma Project Factory Response

We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience at MPF wasn’t a positive one. We understand that our culture and pace won’t be the right fit for everyone, but we do take feedback seriously and continually work to improve through it. We understand this is your perception, but it’s not representative of our culture or policies, we hope to clarify a few points raised: Our hybrid model is applied consistently across all staff, following a four-week onboarding period. All new starters, regardless of role or seniority, spend the first four weeks full-time in the Sydney office. This is an intentional part of our onboarding process to help each person connect with the wider team, understand our systems, and get up to speed quickly. After that, our hybrid model applies, with flexibility to work from home in line with team requirements (three days of our choice in the office and two days at home). Fact: Our offshore team in Vietnam actually work full time in the office. Client delivery standards: We pride ourselves on over-servicing our clients and maintaining long-term relationships built on trust, quality, and results. We work hard to deliver strong outcomes and uphold that value in every account. Role diversity: As a smaller, fast-moving business, we often collaborate across disciplines. This means team members may contribute beyond their core job descriptions. While this can be challenging, it also offers exposure and growth that many team members value. We’re grateful for your time with us and wish you the very best in your future career. MPF is a place that rewards initiative, collaboration, and care for both clients and colleagues and we’ll continue to build on that foundation with honesty and respect.

Pros

Working at Miroma Project Factory has been an incredibly positive experience. The standout feature of this company is the exceptional management team and their respect for work-life balance and resource allocation. As a developer, your technical advice is actually listened to. For instance, when dealing with legacy systems or major architectural upgrades (like transitioning frameworks), management trusts your judgment on what is worth fixing and what should be rebuilt. They don't force you into impossible deadlines; instead, they encourage transparent communication. If you are juggling multiple projects, the PMs and the GM are highly flexible, collaborative, and willing to renegotiate priorities to ensure you aren't overwhelmed. The team culture is highly professional, and you get to work alongside smart, pragmatic people who focus on delivering real value rather than just ticking boxes.

Cons

Because it's a dynamic environment with multiple active projects (and some legacy platforms in maintenance mode), you might find yourself context-switching occasionally. However, as long as you communicate your bandwidth clearly, management is fully supportive in helping you manage the load.

Pros

Having been with Miroma Project Factory for several years, I can confidently say the engineering work is fantastic. The projects are highly diverse and interesting, which keeps the day-to-day work engaging and prevents stagnation. If you want to expand your skill set, this is a great place to do it; there are constant opportunities to learn new technologies. The company genuinely supports this growth by providing dedicated time to learn and covering certificate training The people here are friendly and supportive, making for a highly collaborative team environment. The office is nicely decorated, and well-stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks. Smaller perks, like getting your birthday off, work from anywhere week, 2 days remote per week, add to a positive overall benefits package

Cons

Project deadlines can sometimes be tight, requiring a strong sense of urgency. When it comes to communication, feedback has sometimes been delivered in a very direct manner. However the company is actively improving how feedback is delivered to make it more constructive
