Pros

Very smart group of people. Most will drop anything they are working on to help you out. New idea are heard and some acted on almost immediately. Been lucky to have a strong initial customer set who have helped the company "build it right the first time" which has been huge when you step back and look at the results. I look forward to everyday as I know I will see something new and chase it down. Very good people - no drama. They have found a very unique place in the market that the industry as a whole doesn't fully understand yet. Personally exciting to be part of this experience.

Cons

A bit tight in the office (need headphones) but that also means your in the middle of the action. Folks working off-site this can be a problem.

Pros

The place is a lovely place to work in, as far as the colleagues, the admin staff, and the atmosphere; everyone enjoys what they do, is is sufficiently relaxed about it so that we can focus on doing things rather than worrying about someone else freaking out.

Cons

Management is inflexible, not creative, and not interested in deviating from plans. You will receive projects which are going to have to be rewritten sooner than you think, and they are not interested in hearing this before the project starts. I can think of at least 5 times where I suggested "maybe we should use framework XYZ so we can easily expand later and have it work more smoothly long term" Though management was perfectly pleasant about it, this suggestion was ignored. About a month later, I started rewriting the project in framework XYZ. I was afraid to say "I told you so." A lot of the management come from bigger, older companies, and haven't yet embraced what a creative employee can do, if you simply let them.
