Pros

Plenty of opportunity to learn due to constantly changing goalposts. If you need a job and want exposure into out dated tech (Silverlight), it might be worth a few months of your life.

Cons

Where do I start? First of all, be very wary of the many 5 star reviews all posted within the same few week period. There are more reviews than employees at the company currently, if that tells you anything. This is being forced by management, make no mistake. The reviews claiming multiple years of experience at Mivation but would "NEVER" work for Imprezzio are clearly false. Mivation has existed for less than 6 months and was formed out of the ashes of Imprezzio. The current CEO of Mivation was the VP of Sales for Imprezzio during the 3 year period where they sold literally nothing and lost key contracts, resulting in a mass layoffs. Over the last year, overall compensation for all employees has been reduced, in the form of reduced PTO, reduced benefits, and a complete pay raise/bonus freeze, inclusive of cost of living increases. This company is in the midst of brutal round of "brain drain", where the vast majority of experienced and skilled employees have left the company, either seeing the writing on the wall or being pushed out by management eager to cut the higher salaries of experienced employees. The result has been a massive loss of institutional knowledge that is being felt across the company to this day. Let me be clear: Mivation is managed by the exact same board of directors as Imprezzio. Any review that claims otherwise is an outright lie. They have no desire to improve upon their products or take care of their people. They are happy to "rebrand" and continue selling the same outdated and poorly designed software to the next sucker.

Thank you for your feedback and voicing your specific concerns. We are incredibly proud of the history of our company and the growth we are experiencing at Mivation. I would value the opportunity to meet with you directly to discuss your concerns. Our people are our greatest asset, and it is our goal to communicate transparently with our team members what is happening in the organization. I believe we have missed the mark on apprising you of where we are currently and what the future outlook is for Mivation. My door is always open, and I welcome a conversation. Pros

Decent location with free parking and good facilities

Cons

Mivation values its image over anything resembling a well-designed and engineered product, and that simple fact permeates the culture and attitudes of this company. Expect the sales and marketing folks to rule the roost here, with your success dependent on how comfortable you are being a sycophant to the managers and leaders in charge of said teams. You can actually see this in action in the reviews below with several five star reviews over a two-three day period, after being directed to do so by management. Furthermore do not be fooled by the statements within; while they are indeed separate companies, both belong to the same parent company (DaRK Capital), and Mivation was actually formed in June 2019 out of the remains of a failed sales department at Imprezzio (after having not managed to sell a single thing over two years). Any of the reviews below that mention working for Mivation for multiple years are demonstrably false, and the issues that plagued Imprezzio have simply changed names in a desperate attempt to fool customers and prospective employees. If you are looking for a company with a well-engineered and designed product, meticulously maintained and improved upon; one which has a culture of independence, improvement, and team-building, speaks for itself, I would look elsewhere. However, if you are comfortable with the above and can handle being a sales and image driven company above all else, with little thought to the planning/testing/implementation of a GOOD product, Mivation is the company for you.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. As you point out in your review, Mivation and Imprezzio are both owned by DaRK Capital. While we are owned by the same holding company, we are two different entities, with different customer focuses, different software applications and different leadership, technical and management teams. Mivation is the rebranded, DBA name for Racing Snail, Inc. Mivation (Racing Snail) has been in business for 15 years. We have a strong track record of long-standing success for our customers, with a 74% referral rate from users of the Racing Snail product. Our team decided to rebrand the company name from Racing Snail to Mivation due to the release of an additional software product, Leaderboard Legends along with our primary software, Racing Snail. We found that having the same company name as one of our core product names was confusing to our customers. Leaderboard Legends is currently in the marketplace, with results that have exceeded both our customers’ and our expectations. In addition to the release of Leaderboard Legends, we are now launching a new release of our flagship product, Racing Snail. Racing Snail has been in market for more than 14 years and is currently used by more than 25,000 insurance agency users. Mivation (Racing Snail, Inc.) has had no turnover for more than 15 months. We have increased our staff by approximately 30% in the past four months due to the exciting growth opportunities we are experiencing. We did choose to hire a handful of former Imprezzio employees in addition to new staff that has not worked for a DaRK Capital company in the past. We are thrilled about the recent growth opportunities we are experiencing. Change is a constant in our company and we know that isn’t for everyone. We are working hard to build a culture that takes pride in developing exceptional software that our clients love to use. Jeff Brown, CEO, Mivation
