Pros

If you love animals you can't go wrong dog walking. Pros are all of the nice clients and wonderful animals. Being able to enjoy beautiful weather. Walking around gentrified Brooklyn neighborhoods which are a bit like corpses who have recieved full plastic surgery makeovers.

Cons

First, the young girl who trained me spent all of her time on her cell phone. She seemed neurotic and her energy clearly transferred to the dogs. Also, seemed a bit scatterbrained as there were apartments we visited and there weren't even any dogs to pick up. One apartment had pee and poo on the floor and this girl explained to me why she doesn't clean it up! I could not believe it. I have never worked for a dog walking company where it was okay to leave urine and feces on the floor. I thought it was absolutely disgusting. Besides the poor training I recieved from a girl who seemed to be barely out of high school, it's important that employees keep meticulously track of their hours. Your check WILL BE SHORT. I guarantee it. The manager is clearly a New York transplant. He has trouble communicating ideas, is passive aggressive, indirect and fickle.
