Pros
The exercise and dogs are the best part, and it’s interesting to learn a lot about a the neighborhood you are assigned. Most of the managers are nice and helpful, and you don’t have to do any customer service.
Cons
Management can be disorganized and unprofessional, and while most of them are nice one manager in particular complained constantly but never seemed to do anything except gossip about walkers and tell stories. She never took responsibility for her mistakes and clearly was not cut out for responsibility/power, but because the owners are absentee it seems like she’s never going to have any repercussions. They don’t keep walkers informed of anything, even if it’s important. For instance there are issues with billing and I was put on the spot by clients with no idea how to answer any of their questions.
