People are great l but procedures are non-existent - Logistics Coordinator Modernspace Employee Review

I enjoy working at modernspace. New leadership was hired early in 2025 and quickly brought collaboration and trust to the team. Our office culture has changed for the better!

Limited Advancement: Potential to stagnate or feel unchallenged at times in my role.

Modern Space is a large global company with an impressive list of clients in the retail fixture industry. That's about where the good ends. Culture is scary toxic, benefits are terrible and expensive, pay is low for the amount of work you will do. No work/life balance. From day 1 you are set up to fail. For a large global company I was shocked to find out they have nothing in place. You will be doing the job of 5 or more people. Expect to work 10-16 hr days ,six days a week. Structure/training is non existent. You will have to figure it out on your own. Communication consists of daily meetings where everyone yells and argues with one another and nothing gets accomplished. Separate meetings with upper management with contradicting opinions, views, tasks, goals and all that will change by the end of the day. Goals were impossible to hit because you were never given the resources to achieve them. You will be verbally and emotionally berated, abused and threatened by upper management at some point if not daily. Ive experienced it, and watched it happen to others. Overall company culture is toxic, unhealthy, unsafe and it will break you at some point. Their disregard for human life as a whole was rather sickening to observe and be a part of. Everyone is working against each other to save themselves , save their job and make their money. Upper management is looking for someone to blame for their lack of leadership and bad decisions. Instead of guiding and leading they choose intimidation and fear. The hardest part of the job was the lack of structure. Like I mentioned. You're setup to fail and threatened for not achieving the impossible. There was nothing enjoyable about the job. I learned two things. How NOT to treat people, and how NOT to run a business.

Everything. There is nothing good here.
