Pros

If you're a black or Hispanic woman with huge hips and several children, and don't mind being underpaid, you'll be happy as a clam here. Company expanding very fast and keeping up with it for the most part. Offer good benefits so you hopefully forget how meager your salary is. Comfortable, congenial atmosphere. The work is engaging, if unrewarded.

Cons

Cliques abound and salary increases are pathetic. Many semi-literates. Ebonics is spoken. My cell phone was stolen from the lunchroom. Have never seen so many obese women at one company. After 1-1/2 years, I received a 2% raise---not because of the quality of my work but because I need to "fit in better."

Pros

Salary is reasonable, there is opportunity for incentive pay, insurance options are decent.

Cons

Burn out!!! A horrible work-life balance. They expect one to see 10-12 patients in a 10 hour work day or 6-8 in an 8 hour day. Absolutely zero time for charting and then have high expectations with constant chart and coding audits. They also expect in addition patient visits, for the NP to make 10-12 patients confirmation calls 3 days before your appointment and also 1 day before, so making 20-30 calls a day and charting the calls. It’s a ridiculous expectation for anyone and especially a NP. They expect you to manage care in addition as a PCP with no support staff. Driving and making all these calls and charting them is a risk for a car accident, it’s all about their numbers. The work expectations and work life balance are not worth the salary. There are way better companies to work for that value and respect Nurse Practitioners and do not micro manage them and have unrealistic expectations for them. Horrible layoffs right after Christmas.
