Pros

I love working at MongoDB. Everyone partners together to achieve a common goal. From a Recruiting perspective it is so important to have investment from the business on the importance of hiring which MongoDB definitely has. Hiring Managers work with you and don't just bark orders at you which makes the recruiting process better for everyone. The Executive leadership team is transparent and communicates effectively with the entire organization and I appreciate their openness to feedback. They want to hear from employees and take that feedback seriously. Everyone wants you to succeed and grow your career at MongoDB. There is a work/life harmony, everyone is accepting of one another and I feel lucky to work for such a great company that is continuing to grow!

Cons

It's hard to choose cons about MongoDB but I'd say one con is that we are still working on standardizing a lot of processes. This doesn't necessarily go for all departments in the business but I do think as we continue to grow and scale as a company there is a continuous need to make sure we have consistent, standardized processes and can easily pull data from a reporting perspective in order to know how we are doing and come up with ways in which we can improve. 401k does not have a match

Pros

Supportive people, a strong culture, and meaningful flexibility are the biggest positives. I've had the chance to work with thoughtful colleagues who care about doing good work and helping each other succeed. There are solid opportunities to learn, build relationships across teams, and contribute in a way that feels impactful.

Cons

Workloads can be heavy during busy periods, and priorities can sometimes shift quickly (which is expected in growing companies)

Pros

Remote work and decent pay

Cons

Really depends on the team, however middle management needs to be addressed. Toxic culture that truly depends on who your manager is. Silent layoffs are made to seem "Performance-based", then job is re-posted at a reduced range. Proceed with caution and understand that HR is not your friend.
