Pros

Good product If you've never been exposed to MEDDPICC, you'll learn a lot - if you can ignore mixed messages like "make the process your own" vs berating you when tailor your approach or god forbid, don't use a deck in a 121 client setting. MongoDB may look good on your CV because the hiring process is known to be competitive and intense and they are known to follow - note that other recruiters and other tech professionals are generally very aware of the toxicity as a reason for leaving and may give kudos for your tenure

Cons

MongoDB will tell you they cleaned house and culture is much better than it used to be. In reality, still very toxic and clique-based, with backstabbing amongst colleagues as they jockey for position and favour. There's a lot of "system gaming" for QBRs, with RDs / RVPs choosing which reps to dig into / humiliate based on favouritism, not strategy gaps. Recruitment is the #1 objective because it is a revolving door, especially across the GTM teams. Middle management has limited experience working outside MDB, creating an echo chamber of narrow perspective. Many RDs and RVPs seem to enjoy belittling team members and colleagues in public domains and making an example of those who don't drink the kool-aid. It is a culture of self-preservation, not professional growth or enablement. Aggressive sales culture, with many clients complaining about sales approach, the frequency with which sales reps are taken on/off accounts, and a feeling of harassment due to the relentless prospecting expectations placed on account execs.

Pros

Supportive people, a strong culture, and meaningful flexibility are the biggest positives. I've had the chance to work with thoughtful colleagues who care about doing good work and helping each other succeed. There are solid opportunities to learn, build relationships across teams, and contribute in a way that feels impactful.

Cons

Workloads can be heavy during busy periods, and priorities can sometimes shift quickly (which is expected in growing companies)

Pros

Remote work and decent pay

Cons

Really depends on the team, however middle management needs to be addressed. Toxic culture that truly depends on who your manager is. Silent layoffs are made to seem "Performance-based", then job is re-posted at a reduced range. Proceed with caution and understand that HR is not your friend.
