Engineering Overstaffed, Operations Understaffed - Operator Monolith Employee Review

Pros

Good Pay. Striving to make a positive environmental impact.

Cons

Have a whole list of core values but rarely follow them. Intentionally understaff the backbone of the company - operations, requiring operators to come in on many 'scheduled off' days. Do not care about work / life balance within operations, will schedule you for up to two weeks straight with no off days. YOU WILL ALMOST NEVER HAVE A FULL WEEKEND OFF. You must use vacation time to insure you're off on days that you're already scheduled off. (They will schedule you off on certain days, and then change the schedule the day before your weekend and expect you to be at work. This happens on a bi-monthly basis.) Company blames operations when something in their *very young* technology isn't operating as planned. Operations management deflects blame to operators.
