Hi there reviewer,
We apologize that you've had this experience here at Monumetric, we value this insight and the opportunity to be better. We take feedback like this seriously and have been very intentional to create a culture where everyone can grow personally and professionally and feel fulfilled in what they do. Regarding some of the specifics mentioned, we hope that you can relay these concerns to your direct report in your bi-weekly one-on-one or you may visit with our HR Representative at any time and leave anonymous feedback. We also supply our annual anonymous eNPS survey where you can share any of these views as well.
Regarding your comments re: compensation: Over the last few years, we’ve developed employment pathways for each individual here. Every team member is in the driver’s seat in regards to how quickly they want to grow their skills and their income. Once you complete pathway milestones, this triggers title changes and pay raises. Our pay is calculated using an objective 3rd party service to ensure that we are very competitive in our salaries across the org for our industry and location. We strongly encourage that if you feel your pathway is incomplete, please consult with your direct report or HR - we ensure that each pathway is built on common ground that both sides agree to.
Regarding paternity/maternity and PTO: We’ve never had a limit on PTO and we believe that healthy work/life balance and boundaries are important for peak performance. We encourage everyone to take the time off that they need to stay balanced and to avoid burnout. We are a business that needs to perform and we recognize that maintaining a clear message about looking out for one’s own wellbeing is critical. We have never denied an extended paternity/maternity request as we value that special time with young families above nearly everything else. It’s important that we always remember that “we work to live, not live to work”
Regarding loyalty and safety: We are sorry you don’t feel safe or any loyalty from the executive team. This subject matter hurt the most in your comment because we feel we do our very best to keep everyone here safe in their roles, even during unstable times. During Covid last year when advertising rates dropped with the economy, the executives went without pay for several months to ensure we could keep the entire company intact and safe. At one point we did roll out company-wide pay cuts for a few months and felt that everyone understood the circumstances of the situation. Once we had certainty that the industry was going to rebound we not only restored salary levels but gave everyone pay raises shortly after.
Regarding the “Family” culture: Very early in the company we did refer to the culture like 'family', but we changed that language to be "high-performance team" nearly 4 years ago. We strongly believe that to work as a team we need to have each other’s back, protect each other, and be considerate of each other’s needs. We do this so we can embrace the value and perspectives that everyone brings to the table and balance the workload and burdens of each team member.
We hope this helps provide some clarity around the issues you mentioned and we hope that we can resolve these issues so we can enjoy your experience as a team member at Monumetric and continue to grow together.
