Pros

Competitive pay and generous benefits. Flexible schedules and remote work options. Great coworkers – very friendly and helpful. Employee resource groups available to provide support. Convenient on-site cafeteria.

Cons

Excessive layers of management and an overly complex organizational structure keep leadership out of touch with what is actually happening. Over the past few years, the company has pivoted away from its core values towards focusing on financial performance. Over this time frame I have noticed many changes, but the most alarming one is a sharp rise in toxic management behavior such as berating, demotions, micromanagement, patronizing, blaming the team, public belittling, etc. In some cases, people do talk to HR, but at the end they are not that helpful and the toxic behavior continues. It’s imperative for HR to take reports of such toxic behavior seriously and take meaningful action. It impacts morale, performance, mental health, and retention. Since the start, our founders established values for company to aspire to and to large extent Moog has lived up to. These are the values that the company touts on a regular basis and include treating people with respect and dignity. Moog is losing its very soul all to chase short term financial performance.

Pros

You are surrounded by excellent colleagues across all departments, with the exception of Government Property.

Cons

The Government Property team suffers from severe leadership deficiencies and a toxic work culture. The Senior Manager has a well-documented history of high turnover, carrying a reputation from her previous role where team members actively sought transfers. Under this leadership, promotions are actively discouraged through targeted hostility and fabricated performance issues. Because the management team lacks foundational people skills and prior leadership experience, employee retention is critically low. While other departments within the organization offer great opportunities for growth, transferring into or staying within Government Property is highly discouraged.
