Thanks for your encouraging feedback. We're glad you appreciate some of the really great aspects of our company and culture, particularly our people. We do try to foster a culture of kindness in our everyday interactions. That's not to say that we don't debate and push back on each other, but we very consciously seek to ensure that such exchanges are grounded in mutual respect, compassion, and dignity. I've heard from a number of outsiders (e.g., third-party consultants, and new "experienced" hires) that Morningstar is one of the most honest and self-aware cultures they've encountered. In short, we are very conscious of where we need to improve and we don't shy away from change. That said, as you point out, long-standing ways of doing things don't change easily-- unfortunately they take time and effort. But be assured we're committed to ongoing growth and improvement, even if if requires work and some patience. We've always valued transparency in our organization, but as we've grown we've had to continually rethink how we keep the whole team informed-- how we share the right information with the right people. In fact, this is one of my priorities since I've taken over as CEO. As you've probably noticed, we've added my weekly video blog, pulse survey results, and "Thoughtful Thursdays," to some of our more longstanding internal communication channels such as "The Pond," town halls, and company meetings. We'll continue to adjust the mix to ensure we're providing the right level of transparency, and I'm certainly open to ideas and suggestions, too. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!
