Pros

I love working here because the people are extremely supportive yet continually push one another to grow. The high quality of work each person produces inspires and naturally challenges other team members to produce equally excellent work. The culture is excellent, and the commitment to diversity and top-level talent clearly benefits the company and its clients.

Cons

The fast pace and very high expectations can rattle people who don't have the passion and drive it takes to succeed at the company.

Pros

I had the privilege of working as a Junior Engineer at Mostly Serious and it was an incredible experience. The work was challenging, but the company's commitment to mission-driven projects and being selective about clients meant that the work was always rewarding. Working alongside some of the most talented people in the industry was an opportunity to learn and grow professionally. Everyone in the company is amazing at what they do, and it was inspiring to be surrounded by such intelligence and passion. In addition to the challenging work, Mostly Serious was also an incredibly fun and inclusive company to work for. Despite being remote, I felt like part of a close-knit group and included in all of the events and activities, and the company culture was focused on fostering a sense of camaraderie and connection among its employees. Overall, I highly recommend Mostly Serious to anyone who is looking for a challenging and rewarding work experience. It is a great company with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about their work and committed to making a difference.

Pros

Mostly Serious's work culture is authentic (not ping pong table, beer-in-the-break room stuff) and genuinely emphasizes team members' work-life balance and tenure. It's very easy to communicate freely and openly here and be heard. The opportunities for growth are vast. Each team member is valued. "Fast-paced" agencies can be toxic, but while Mostly Serious does move along at a fast clip, it is not the kind of agency that asks too much of team members or uses them. I also genuinely feel like though Mostly Serious is ever-evolving, it is always currently operating as its best version.

Cons

Mostly Serious generally does not micromanage and expectations are very high for personal accountability. People who excel as self-managers thrive here while people who perform better with more hands-on management or reminders tend to struggle. Mostly Serious offers a lot of freedom to its team members, but team members are expected to use that freedom to prioritize their own tasks and be responsible for their deadlines. That level of accountability just isn't for everyone.
