Pros

One pro is that it is close to BART.

Cons

This place has a weird, passive aggressive vibe, inconsistent unspoken "rules" like not working from home, not having a beer unless it's Friday at 5, not leaving before 6pm; this place does not consider OSHA regulations to be important, communication is terrible, expectations are not talked about until you have failed to meet one, and important decisions seem to be made based on what will look good. Mentorship and career development are not valued. Their answer to fixing the disaster they are in is to hire more people that don't know what is going on, instead of listening to and addressing the known issues. People are leaving left and right and no one in management is willing to accept that the reasons people are giving for their discontentment might be something to take seriously. Several angry customers have showed up to headquarters and the CEO has never even blinked.

Pros

+Move Loot is one of the few startups that is meaningfully disrupting consumerism, by providing the first solution for person to person (and business to business) used furniture sales, completely with full logistics support for both sellers and buyers. Being a part of company that is defining a new market is truly exciting and inspiring. +Senior leadership takes a direct, hands-on approach, to ensuring company success and growth. +High level of transparency between senior team and employee base through weekly and monthly team-wide check ins. +Strong team player mentality, is necessary for success -- this is not the company for those who prefer to be individual contributors or work in a silo. +Cross team collaboration is encouraged by management, this includes across markets as well as business units. +Operational excellence is held in very high accord for all employees, regardless of their position in the organization.

Cons

+With rapid growth comes a unique set of multi-layered challenges, and addressing all of them simultaneously is impossible. Management has done a good job of communicating monthly goals and priorities to help HQ and additional markets hone focus.
